This chapter describes basic handling of the printer.

Charging Battery

There are 4 ways to charge the battery:
 using the printer itself with the single charger (OT-SC20)
 using the printer itself with the quad charger (OT-MC20)
 using the battery spacer (OT-BS20) with the single charger (OT-SC20)
 using the battery spacer (OT-BS20) with the quad charger (OT-MC20)
Be sure to use the battery BT-BY20.
Using a battery other than the one specified may cause fire, explosion, leakage, overheating or other
damage.
WARNING
 The battery can be charged only when the temperature is 0 ~ 40°C {32 ~ 104°F}.
 Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.
 Do not remove the battery during charging.
 Fully charging a battery that is fully discharged will take approximately 3 hours.
 Charging the battery at 35°C {95°F} or higher may require a longer charging time than the specified
 The Charge LED turns off when charging is not occurring.
 You can use the printer during the battery charging.
