AO SERIES | INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL
The default configuration uses a STATIC and PREDEFINED IP Address, but it's possible to
change this kind of configuration. In particular, a new static IP Address can be set by the
user either via Ethernet or the serial RS232 (please refer to Paragraph 13 and 15 for IP
Address reconfiguration).
2.3.4 RS232
The serial communication is implemented inside the Hirose 12-pin connector by using 3
pins, listed in the following table:

Pin on Hirose Connector
Ground
AOL_RS232_RX
AOL_RS232_TX
The electrical specifications of the RS232 signals are listed in the following tables:
Specification
Data IN (User_TX)
Data OUT (User_RX)
Specification
Baud Rate
Number of data bits
Stop bit
Parity bit
Termination char
Please refer to "Serial Communication Protocol" (Paragraph 15) to apply RS232 to the
lens.
2.3.5 Synchronization output
One of the 12 pins of the Hirose connector is used as an optoisolated output for
synchronization of external systems. The electrical schematic of the optoisolated output
signal is shown in Figure 4:
