21 TROUBLESHOOTING
FAULT
The power indicator flashes red. The
symbol
appears fixed a the symbol
flashes.
The power indicator is always off.
The pump is hot but heat is not being
transferred from the collector to the
storage cylinder, collector outlet tem-
perature is the same as collector return
temperature, or the pipes are noisy.
The pump comes on too late.
Intermittent pump activation.
The temperature differential between
storage cylinder and collector is very
high; the heating circuit is not exchang-
ing heat.
CAUSE
Sensor faulty. The code 888.8: conductor
breakage appears in the corresponding
parameter.
Sensor faulty. The code -88.8: short
circuit appears in the corresponding
parameter.
Electrical power supply faulty.
Fuse blown.
Air in circuit.
Pump faulty.
Solar circuit filter clogged.
Non-return or shut-off valves faulty.
Activation temperature differential ΔTon
too high.
Collector sensor incorrectly positioned.
Wrong setting in the tube collector func-
tion.
Minimum limitation activated.
Activation temperature differential ΔTon
too low.
Collector sensor incorrectly positioned.
Wrong setting in tube collector function
or frost protection function.
Collector circuit pump faulty.
Heat exchanger encrusted with limescale. − Remove the limescale.
Heat exchanger clogged.
Heat exchanger too small.

SOLUTION
− Check the sensor and the cable.
− Check the connection.
− Check the electrical power supply.
− Replace the fuse.
− Bleed the circuit.
− Switch the pump on and off briefly.
− Unseize the pump.
− Replace the pump.
− Clean the filter.
− Replace the faulty components.
− Change ΔTon and ΔToff.
− Position the sensor correctly.
− Check the associated settings.
− Deactivate minimum limitation.
− Change ΔTon and ΔToff.
− Position the sensor correctly.
− Check the associated settings.
− Check/replace.
− Clean.
− Re-calculate dimensions.
