Data transmission / Bus
The controller has two terminals for data transmission over a
bus. Polarity is not important.
Data transmission protocol is VBus®, which permits the trans-
mission of data to external devices such as:
− An external WMZ calorimeter for thermal energy metering
− External displays
− Datalogger
− Remote control.

Grundfos Direct™ sensors (VFD)
The controller has 1 input for Grundfos Direct™ sensors (VFD) used
to measure flow rate and temperature. The connection uses the
VFD terminal (bottom left).
PWM output
The speed of the HE pump is controlled by a PWM signal.
Pumps must be connected to the controller's PWM outputs for
connection to the relays. The pump must be connected to the
relay and to the controller's PWM output. The HE pump receives
power when the relay is activated and deactivated.
The two left pins of the PWM socket are used as control outputs
for a pump with a PWM control input. The two right pins are not
used.

15 PUTTING INTO SERVICE

Electrical power connection
The controller enters the initialisation phase.
When the controller is put into service for the first time, and also
after a reset, the startup menu is displayed. The startup menu
guides users through the most important control parameters for
system functioning.
Programming
− Press button 3 to select the control parameter. The SET
symbol flashes.
− Press buttons 1 and 2 to set the value.

− Press button 3 again to confirm the setting. The SET sym-
bol appears fixed again.
− Press button 1 or 2 to switch to the previous or next con-
trol parameter.
Language
Set the menu language in this parameter.
Setting range: DE, EN, FR, ES, IT.
Default settings: DE.
Unit
Set the unit of measurement in which temperature and temper-
ature differential must be displayed.
Setting range: °F , °C.
Default settings: °C.
Time
Set the current time.
Set the hour first and then the minutes.
System layout
Set the required system layout.
Setting range: 1 - 3.
Default settings: 1.
