This parameter specifies the type of pump control. The following
control types can be selected:
− Control for standard pumps without speed control
OnOF (pump activated/deactivated)
− Control for standard pumps with speed control
PULS (pulsed command via semiconductor relay)
− High efficiency (HE) pump control
PSOL (PWM curve for an HE solar pump)
PRIS (PWM curve for an HE heating pump)
To reduce the frequency of high efficiency pump starts, the
controller automatically extends its functioning when no speed
control signal is transmitted by the relay (PUM = PSOL or PRIS).
This relay remains activated for an hour after deactivation con-
ditions are satisfied.
9
During extended functioning, the relay symbol disappears
from the display and the pump remains off. The relay nev-
ertheless remains live!

Make sure that power is switched off at a disconnector be-
fore handling the controller!

19.4 Maximum storage cylinder temperature

S MX: Maximum storage cylinder temperature
Setting range: 4 ... 95 °C
Arr 3: 4 ... 90 °C
Default setting: 60 °C
Storage cylinder heating is deactivated when measured temper-
ature exceeds the set maximum, in order to prevent overheating
and potential damage. A hysteresis of 2°K is set for maximum
storage cylinder temperature.
If this temperature is exceeded, the symbol (
display.
Note! The controller incorporates a safety deactivation function
that stops circulation to the storage cylinder or buffer tank if the
temperature of the heat transfer medium reaches approximate-
ly 95 °C.

19.5 Option: storage cylinder safety deactivation

OSEM: Storage cylinder safety deactivation
Setting range: ON, OFF
Default setting: OFF
This option permits use of the internal safety deactivation func-
tion for the top section of the storage cylinder too.
If the temperature measured by the reference sensor (S3) ex-
ceeds 95 °C, the storage cylinder is blocked and charging inter-
rupted until the temperature falls back under 90 °C.
Note! The reference sensor is sensor S3.
19.6 Collector temperature limit - Collector safety
deactivation
EM: Collector temperature limit
Setting range: 80 ... 200 °C
Default setting: 130 °C
If the maximum collector temperature (EM) is exceeded, the so-
lar pump (R1) is deactivated to prevent overheating and possible
damage to the components of the solar system (collector safety
deactivation).
The default maximum temperature limit setting is 130 °C, but any
value in the range 80 to 200 °C can be set. A hysteresis of 10 °K is
set for the collector maximum temperature limit.
If maximum collector temperature is exceeded, the symbol
flashes on the display.

Note! When the drainback function ODB is activated, setting
range is reduced to 80 ... 120 °C. The default setting is 95 °C.

19.7 System cooling function

OSYC: System cooling function
Setting range: ON, OFF
Default setting: OFF
