First ring muting off/on

The telephone recognises an incoming
text message by the first ring.

Open menu.

Hear the first ring.

Suppress first ring.

Please remember:
If first ring suppression is deactivated,
every incoming text message is signalled
by a ring. If you accept such a "call" on the
first ring, the message will be lost.

Recording sounds

You can record melodies using the sound
recorder (max. duration 30 secs.) or trans-
fer them using a data cable (max. 48 KB)
(p. 59).

Activating/deactivating
advisory tones
Your handset uses "advisory tones" to tell
you about different activities and statuses.
The following advisory tones can be
activated and deactivated individually.

Key click: Every key press is confirmed

Acknowledge tones:
Confirmation tone (rising tone
sequence): At the end of an input/
setting, when the handset is placed in
the charger and when a text message
or a new entry arrives inthe calls list or
incoming MMS list.
Error tone (a descending tone
sequence): with incorrect inputs
End of menu tone: when scrolling at
the end of a menu

Battery tone: The battery needs
recharging.

Activate/deactivate key click.

Scroll to the Confirm.: line to
activate or deactivate the
confirmation tones.

Scroll to Battery: and choose
On, Off or during call. The
battery warning tone is
activated or deactivated or
only rings during a call.
