Switching off the device To switch off the EnDaL smart, keep the On/Off key pressed. After a short time, the red alarm- LED will start to flash. If you continue to keep it pressed, it will light permanently. Now it can be released.
EnDaL smart DEVICE DESCRIPTION OF MONI LOG® ENDAL SMART If the device is provided with a switch-on/switch-off code, it can only be deactivated via the software. In order to signalise this, the active-LED begins to light up and the alarm-LED begins to flash when the On/Off key is pressed for a longer time (~1 second).

Device runtime The device runtime of the EnDaL smart depends on the set measurement parameters. Here, the interval setting of the GPS position determination is the key factor. The connection between device runtime and GPS or synchronous interval is illustrated in the following figure:...

EnDaL smart DEVICE DESCRIPTION OF MONI LOG® ENDAL SMART Battery change Prior to the battery change, the EnDaL smart must be properly switched off. Otherwise a data loss of the device cannot be excluded. Attention: Ensure the right polarity when inserting the batteries!
An enclosure or covering of the GPS antenna may considerably deteriorate the GPS reception or even completely prevent it. A poor GPS reception may lead to an increased current consumption and thus to a shortened device runtime. Mounting holes Figure 2: Dimensions and mounting information of the EnDaL smart - 17 -...
EnDaL smart PC SOFTWARE – MONI LOG® ANALYZER P C S O F T W A R E – A N A L Y Z E R The software Analyzer can be used both for the readout and configuration of the EnDaL smart and other devices.
Installation process 1. Connect the EnDaL smart by means of the included USB cable to your PC. When connecting the device, the green active-LED lights up. After the LED has gone out, the USB device is ready. 2. Open the folder of the included CD and execute the file “USB-driver-install.exe” as administrator.

EnDaL smart PC SOFTWARE – MONI LOG® ANALYZER Sorting function in tables For tables a sorting function is available. This is carried out by clicking on the respective column in the table header. This facilitates the finding of the maximum/minimum values. The sorting is made alternatingly in ascending and descending order.
The measurement data, such as synchronous data or shock curves, are retrieved manually via the button „Read out EnDaL smart“. This can take up, depending on the number of the data sets, a few seconds to several minutes.

L o g g i n g p e r i o d s The logging periods offer an overview on the individual configuration time segments of the EnDaL smart. In this way, it can be traced back how the device was configured at the respective period of time.
EnDaL smart PC SOFTWARE – MONI LOG® ANALYZER 4 . 3 . 6 S y n c h r o n o u s d a t a g r a p h s Synchronous values - temperature, humidity, inclination & air pressure: The up to 200,000 data sets of the synchronous values are shown consecutively in a table (see Figure 15).
Page 34
EnDaL smart PC SOFTWARE – MONI LOG® ANALYZER Inclination graph: In the programme tab “Inclination position graph”, the static inclination values of the synchronous dates are shown as a graph. By activating or deactivating the “check marks” in the legend on the right side, the x-, y- and z-channel can be switched on or off respectively (see Figure 17).
EnDaL smart PC SOFTWARE – MONI LOG® ANALYZER By this definition the angles in the normal position of the device on the table are not (0°,0°,0°), but (0°,90°,--). The roll angle is 0°, since the z-axis shows in the direction of the axis of the Earth.
A l a r m e v e n t s Alarm events comprise all events created by exceeding/falling below alarm thresholds. IN the EnDaL smart, up to 29,000 alarm events can be stored. They are listed in the programme tab “alarm events” as single tables (pressure events, temperature/humidity events, inclination events/inclination curves, and shock alarm events).
