Overview (DADF)

This machine has the following adjustment items. Carry out each adjustment
after replacing the relevant parts.

Caution:
Carry out all the above adjustments after removing the DADF from the reader unit.

Adjustment Method (DADF)

Adjusting the Height

■ Pre-check

Check whether the front and rear document glass spacers provided under the bottom of the
DADF are in close contact with the document glass when the DADF is closed.
If visual check is difficult, perform the check with reference to the next and subsequent pages.
Caution:
• Use plain paper.
• Insert a sheet of paper in such a manner that the sheet material portion of the stream
reading glass is concealed.
NOTE:
Insert a sheet of paper between the DADF scan glass and the document glass spacers
(two) and pull out the sheet in the direction of the arrow. It is recommended that slight
resistance is felt when pulling out the sheet.
