Chapter 3 – Initial operation

Dosage

The tab enables an optimal and consistent dosage of the processing
medium. Use only Oxides Thermo Tabs (Art.No. 100 921). as processing
media.

Turning the HD 450/HD 450 Injection on/off

Please observe the following safety precautions when handling
the power cord and
power plug.
■
Never splice or modify then power cord.
■
The power cord has a maximum length of 2 m.
■
Never pull on the power cord to unplug the power plug from the
socket. Always pull on the power plug to unplug the unit.
■
Do not place any heavy objects on the power cord.
■
Never lay the power cord over areas where the cable may be pinched
(e.g. caught in a door or window).
■
Do not lay the power cord along a heat source.
■
Do not use any nails, staples or similar objects to hold the cord in
place.
■
Should the power cord or the power plug be damaged, cease
operation of the unit. The power cord and power cable may only be
replaced by authorized persons.
Failure to observe these instructions may result in damage to the
cable or plug and/or cause a fire or electric shock. Serious injury
may result.

Turn on the HD 450/HD 450 Injection by pressing the power switch
momentarily.

Turn off the HD 450/HD 450 Injection by pressing on the power
switch for 3 seconds.
Requirements for initial
operation

If available, ensure that the water softening system is connected.

Ensure that cold water supply is turned on.

Ensure that power switch is turned on.

Ensure that processing medium (Thermo Tab, Art.-No. 100 921) has been
inserted.

Ensure that the base rack has been inserted.

Ensure that salt receptacle has been filled with enough salt (if necessary, see
Chapter 2– water softening system).
