Resetting the CPU
Re s etting the CPU dears all mem ories, repeat-
er sh ifts and o the r se tt ing to th eir d efaults, an d
leaves the tran scei ver CPU in the same sta te as
w hen
it
left the factory.
A soft reset can
be
d on e by holding th e D/MR
and REV keys w hile sw itch ing the transceiv er
on. If
a Cl'Ij-rela ted problem remains after the
so ft reset, a hard reset can be done as follows:
o
Tu m the tra nsceiver oft and di sconnect all
cables.
o
Rem ove the to p cove r.
o
Temporarily short "cross capacitor C1470.
Note the locati on of the C 1470, as indicat-
ed below .
