8.1.1 IMB Synchronized Playback Operation

If the 'Use Master SPL' option is selected during configuration, the SPL playing on the
master server will be automatically copied and loaded on the slave server. SPL content must
be loaded on the slave server before playback is started.
1. Create and load an SPL on the 'master' server.
2. Make sure the 'slave' server has content and KDM required for this SPL.
3. Start playback from the 'master' server.
4. The 'slave' server will automatically start playback with the same SPL on the 'master'
server.
If the 'Use Slave SPL' option is selected during configuration, the 'master' server will load and
play an SPL with the same name on the 'slave' server. This SPL must be prepared on the
slave server before playback is started.
1. Create and load an SPL on the 'master' server.
2. Create an SPL with same name on the 'slave' server.
3. Start playback from the 'master' server.
4. The 'slave' server will automatically start playback of the SPL with the same name.

Note: If this setting is changed, the server must be rebooted for
the setting to take effect.
Slave SPL Loading is only enabled on the master server.
Select a method for loading an SPL on the slave server.
Use Master SPL: the SPL on the master server will be
automatically copied and loaded on slave when playback starts.
Use Slave SPL: the master server will automatically find a SPL
with the same name on the slave server and play that SPL.
(Please refer to Section 8.1.1 for details.)
SMS IP of Slave Server is only enabled on the master server.
Enter the SMS IP of the slave server. This setting is required for
the master server to load an SPL on the slave server
When this option is enabled, the following actions on the master
Slave]
server will trigger the same action on the slave server:
DCP ingest from a network source (NFS/FTP/CIFS)
DCP deletion
Note: This feature will not work for the following:
DCP ingest from a local source (USB/eSATA/CRU)
KDM ingest
