Setting Noise Reduction
Cautions for Setting Multi Shot Noise Reduction
If there is significant misalignment in the image due to camera shake,
o
the noise reduction effect may become smaller.
If you are handholding the camera, keep it steady to prevent camera
o
shake. Using a tripod is recommended.
If you shoot a moving subject, the moving subject may leave
o
afterimages.
Auto image alignment may not function properly with repetitive patterns
o
(lattice, stripes, etc.) or flat, single-tone images.
If the subject's brightness changes as the four consecutive shots are
o
taken, irregular exposure in the image may result.
After shooting, it may take some time to record an image to the card
o
after performing noise reduction and merging the images. [BUSY] is
displayed as images are processed, and shooting is not possible until
processing is finished.
AEB is not available.
o
[Multi Shot Noise Reduction] is not available with bulb shooting, Servo
o
AF, Silent shutter, shooting with AEB or WB bracketing, shooting RAW
or RAW+JPEG images, or with features such as long exposure noise
reduction, multiple exposures, or HDR mode.
Flash photography is not possible. Note that the AF-assist beam of EOS-
o
dedicated, external Speedlites will be emitted according to the [ 2 4:
AF-assist beam firing] setting.
[Multi Shot Noise Reduction] is not available (not displayed) when
o
recording movies.
[Standard] will be set automatically if you do any of the following: Setting
o
the power switch to < 2 >, replacing card, or setting shooting mode to
other than [ t ], [ d ], [ s ], [ f ], or [ a ].
