Using Key 2 (Mode Key) you scroll through the tachometer functions. The fi ve func-
tions available are as follows:
total kilometers

average speed
AVG SPEED

By holding down the Mode Key you can reset the current "Maximum Speed", " Trip
Kilometers" and "Average Speed" values to zero. The bike's total kilometer display
cannot be reset, in order to avoid any tampering with the S-Pedelec's odometer data.
The remaining range is constantly updated during the trip and computed with
reference to the selected assist level. When you switch on the system and select
the remaining range display, the correct value will not be displayed. After you have
cycled for a short distance, then the system can compute the value again from the
current parameters and you will see the up to date value in the display. In the of bike
that are new are used for the fi rst time, this display fi rst has to learn by itself, in other
words, the remaining range display can under some circumstance only work reliably
after the fi rst time the battery has been fully emptied.
Recommendation: Always start cycling in a low/easy gear even when you are
using pedal assist; just as you would if you were cycling without pedal assist. This
reduces wear on the chain, the cogs and the freewheel. You can buy the smaller cogs
separately (11th, 12th 13th) so that you don't have to buy the complete cog set if the
gears are creaking from worn cogs.
