Hitch Release

Your vehicle may be equipped with an optional remote hitch release. This will be a lever located
to the right of the driver seat.
WARNING
Do not operate the hitch release lever while on a grade or while the vehicle is in motion.
• Decoupling a trailer while in motion may result in unexpected movement of the vehicle
and/or loss of control of the trailer.
• Decoupling a trailer while on a grade will result in loss of control of the trailer.
The above actions may result in severe personal injury and/or property damage.
Standard Lever:
Push down on the lever to decouple the trailer. Make
sure the vehicle is fully stopped and the trailer is not
on a grade before operating the hitch release lever.
Cab Lever:
Pull up on the lever to decouple the trailer. Make sure
the vehicle is fully stopped and the trailer is not on a
grade before operating the hitch release lever.
