device list on the left.
The ekey home converter LAN RS-485 is accessible on the network and ready for data packet
configuration.

Configuring data packets

You can use the configuration tool to configure data packets and set their parameters. The
following aspects must be set:
The receiver port;
The receiver IP address;
The spacer;
The protocol type;
Receiver port and receiver IP address
The receiver port and the receiver IP address define the receiver (data sink) uniquely on the
network.
The receiver port and the default transmitter port (56000) must be activated on the network. In
the router settings, make sure that the defined ports are also freely routed to the receiver.
Spacer and protocol type
The spacer and the protocol type define the composition of the data packet. The receiver must be
able to read and interpret the defined data packet.
Depending on the system you are using, there are three protocol types you can set.
