Building Control System

Mini-ICS system is a highly intelligent centralized control system developed by Trane for Unitary
(small and medium sized) units. Mini-ICS system can manage the linkage control of multiple
indoor units and outdoor units, the loading and unloading control of multiple indoor unit
modules, the centralized control of multiple outdoor units as well as the centralized control of
multiple indoor units; if Mini-ICS system is connected with Modbus communication module,
the monitoring of local computer and the remote control of Internet can be realized, i.e. remote
setting of room temperature, operation mode, startup and shutdown as well as fault alarm.
The system can be classified into a single-master controller system and a multi-master controller
system. Wherein, the single-master controller system is suitable for the air conditioning comfort
control of multiple rooms for a single family; the multi-master controller system is suitable for
the control of multiple units for the small commercial system. This centralized control system is
composed of a centralized controller, a Modbus communication module, a concentrator, units,
etc. It can perform the remote centralized control of whole air conditioning system, and provide
the necessary data for BA system to ensure that it is connected to the building automatic control
system.
Modbus module (optional) -- connecting with the third-party BA
system
Modbus module is a professionally designed protocol conversion device and interface, through
which the multi-master controller system is connected. One Modbus module corresponds to one
centralized controller. This module can convert Trane internal communication protocol into an
open Modbus communication protocol for the use of the third-party system.
Modbus modules are usually used for the multi-master controller system. The module uplink and
downlink adopt RS485 network interface. Each module corresponds to one centralized controller.
