To install the GC column in the EI/CI GC/MSD interface

Materials needed:
Adjustment tool (G1099-20030)
Ferrules
Interface column nut (05988-20066)
Wrench, 1/4-inch open-end (8710-0510)

FROXPQ LQWR WKH DGMXVWPHQW WRRO
2 7ULP DERXW  FP IURP WKH HQG RI WKH FROXPQ

WRRO RU H[WHQGV OHVV WKDQ RQH PP SDVW WKH HQG
The column should not extend more than 1 mm past the tip of the adjustment tool.
4 8VLQJ WZR LQFK ZUHQFKHV WLJKWHQ WKH QXW
Tighten only enough so that the column does not slip in the ferrule if tugged gently.
5 /RRVHQ WKH QXW DQG UHPRYH WKH FROXPQ IURP WKH WRRO
6 LQVWDOO WKH FROXPQ LQ WKH *&06' LQWHUIDFH
Note that the EI/CI interface doesn't extend quite as far into the GC oven as the EI
interface does.

Do not overtighten. Tighten only until the ferrule squeaks.
