    GETTING STARTED 50 : 1 / 2% (50 : 1) Use synthetic 2-stroke lubricant only. Do not use automotive lubricant or 2-stroke outboard lubricant. Mix 2% synthetic 2-stroke lubricant into the petrol.     OPERATION STARTING A COLD ENGINE 1. Press the primer bulb 10 times. Set the choke lever to “Full” position. 2. Keep the throttle trigger squeezed completely through steps 2 to 4 and pull the starter grip until the engine attempts to start. Do not pull the starter grip more than 4 times.

    OPERATION STARTING A WARM ENGINE 1. Press the primer bulb 10 times. Set the choke lever to position. 2. Pull the starter grip until the engine starts. Do not pull the starter grip for more than 6 times. 3. Allow the engine to run for 10 seconds.

    OPERATION OPERATING THE TRIMMER NOTE: Hold the product with the right hand on the trigger handle and the left hand on the left handle. WARNING: Do not cut in a dangerous cut- ting area. Turn counterclockwise to remove the old string head. 4. install the new string head, align the nut in the string head to the connector shaft or lower boom and turn the string head clockwise by hand to tighten.

    MAINTENANCE REPLACING THE LINE 1. Turn off the product 2. Rotate the bump knob on the line trimmer head until the line on the centre of the bump knob aligns with arrows on top of line trimmer head. 3. Use a 2.4 mm diameter monofilament string.   • Page 23 MAINTENANCE REPLACING THE SPARK PLUG 1. Turn off the product 2. Remove the cover, twist and remove the rubber protect boot. 3. Turn counterclockwise to remove the old spark plug 4. Install the new spark plug, tighten by turning it in a clockwise direction or one half of a turn from finger tight.

    MAINTENANCE CLEANING THE FILTER 1. Turn off the product. 2. Remove the air filter cover and the air filter. 3. Clean the air filter with warm, soapy water. 4. Brush clean the air filter holder. Rinse, and let the air filter dry completely.
  • Page 26 MAINTENANCE 5. Put two drops of lubricant into the air filter and rub in. 6. Replace the air filter (fits only one way), and then replace the air filter cover. NOTE: The air filter should be replaced annually for best performance.
  • Page 27 MAINTENANCE CLEANING THE MUFFLER 1. Turn off the product and remove the spark plug cover. 2. Undo the 4 screws to remove the rear housing. 3. Undo muffler screws. 4. Remove the screws, muffler cover, muffler and gasket. Use the brush to clean the exhaust hole of the cylinder and intake hole of the muffler.
  • Page 28 MAINTENANCE 5. Place the gasket, muffler, muffler cover and bolts back to its position. 6. Tighten the screws by turning it clockwise. 7. Place back the rear housing back to its position. 8. Tighten the screws by turning them clockwise. Reattach the spark plug cover.
