Clearing Document Jams
If a document jams while it is feeding through the ADF,
"DOCUMENT JAM" appears in the display.
Details for clearing the three types of document misfeeds are given
below.

Troubleshooting
Open the ADF top cover.
Carefully pull the jammed document out of the ADF
mechanism, taking care not to tear the paper.
Close the ADF top cover.
Feed the documents back into the ADF.
