Explanation of Symbols and Signal Words Abbreviations and Technical Terms EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) is an electronic programme guide which the receiver displays on the TV set. HbbTV HbbTV (Hybrid broadcast broadband TV) – together with Teletext – provides additional information from the programme providers. This information can be received via the TV signal and also via the Internet.
