  • Page 49 TENNANT A60 Outside temperature Because the water is permanently heated by the hydraulics oil coolers which are in the water tank, it is possible to sweep at temperatures below freezing. Only use this option when it is strictly necessary. There is always a risk of ice forming and freezing which can cause faults and/or damage.
  • Page 50 TENNANT A60 Moving the sweeping unit can also be used very effectively to: • sweep up to and past parked vehicles (Technique B) • avoid obstacles, and • sweep on the left Figure 25: Sweeping technique B Outer corners Two techniques can be used to sweep sharp outer corners.

  • Page 61: Adjusting The Brush Pressure

TENNANT A60 When the brushes are set a forward angle, the rear of the brush does not touch the surface. This brings the rubbish in front of the suction mouth so that it does not revolve with the brush. The sideways angle is adjusted to the shape of the surface or the degree of brush wear. Some vehicle models are equipped with a hydraulic sideways adjustment which can be operated from the cabin.
