7.4 Decommissioning the power
assist
If your power assist has become redundant or
needs to be replaced, it can usually be taken
back by your dealer. If this is not possible,
please ask your local authority about the
possibilities for recycling or environmentally
friendly disposal of the materials.
Various diff erent plastics and metals were used
in the manufacture of the power assist.
Furthermore, the power assist contains
electronic components that should be disposed
of as electronic waste. The batteries should be
disposed of as chemical waste.
