Connecting the Magic Messenger to the Line Side of
a Telephone System
1 . Refer to the diagrams below. Locate modular cord "A", connected
between the first incoming line from the central office and the line
jack on the telephone system. If the connection is not modular,
contact your local AT&T Technical Representative for assistance.
2 . Disconnect the central office end of cord "A" and connect it to the
jack on the Magic Messenger labelled PHONE.
3 .
Connect one end of modular cord "B" (included with the Magic
Messenger) to the jack on the Magic Messenger labelled LINE.
Connect the other end to the central office line jack.
*Connect the Magic Messenger during off hours to avoid
interrupting service.
