13.3 Creating a New Data logger File
To create a GRID or ENGINE log data file:
1. Press
, scroll to the DATA menu and then highlight the NEW function.
2. Press
to display the grid edit box.
3. Scroll to NAME and then press

6. Repeat step 5 for NUM ROWS (or NUM CLKS for ENGINE format files).
Note: NUM COL and NUM ROWS (or NUM CYL and NUM CLKS for ENGINE format files)
represent the range of the grid - analogous to the top left and bottom right cells of a range in a
spreadsheet. An individual GRID file can have a maximum of 999 rows and 52 columns (12
rows and 12 columns for an ENGINE format file).
7. Scroll to INCR. DIR and then use the
(NONE, NORTH, EAST, SOUTH, WEST).
Note: INCR. DIR determines in which direction the cursor moves each time a reading is stored.
8. When you have finished defining your data logger file, scroll to CREATE NEW FILE?, press

to return to the measurement screen.
The measurement screen hot menu now includes the column and row
