For your safety—battery warning
Warning: Before using your battery or charger, please read
the important safety information included with your battery.
If you are using a Lithium-ion battery, care must be taken to
avoid personal injury or property damage.

Charging the battery before first use

Before using your battery for the first time, you must
charge it. Follow the instructions included with your
Tait charger.
Note: The radio must be turned off if placed in the charger
with the battery.

Attaching the battery

To attach the battery to the radio:

Removing the battery

The battery is secured to the radio by a battery catch in the
radio's rear panel.
To remove the battery from the radio, so that the battery can
be charged or replaced:

20 Before using your radio
Insert the bottom edge of the battery into the two slots at
the back of the radio.
Press down on the top of the battery to snap it into place.
Slide the battery catch up.
From the sides, pull the battery away from the radio.
