Precautions When Using the Digital Still
Camera
In the event of abnormal operation (e.g. if the unit
emits smoke or an unusual smell), immediately
stop operating the unit and consult qualified
service personnel.
■ Handling
• Do not disassemble or reconstruct the camera.
• Do not expose the camera to water.
• Do not drop or insert metals or flammable
objects into the internal parts.
• Do not use while driving a car or other vehicle.
• Do not use in an unstable position.
• Do not touch the metal parts on the camera
during a thunderstorm.
• Do not place the camera on an unsteady
surface, slanting location, or other unstable
location.
• Do not aim the lens directly toward the sun or
other strong light source.
• Be careful not to get your fingers caught in the
battery cover or when adjusting the angle of the
LCD screen.
• Follow the airline's instructions when using on
an airplane.
• Do not leave in high-temperature places.
• Do not use in locations with large amounts of
soot, steam, humidity, or dust, or locations with
severe vibrations.
• If electrical noise forms on the LCD screen
during recording, use the camera in a place
away from other electronic devices (computers,
etc.).
• When using the camera, keep it as far away as
possible from
electromagnetic waves (TV, electronic games,
etc.).
