Recording with Brightness Compensation (Exposure Compensation)

EXPOSE
The brightness is usually set to Auto.
The brightness can be adjusted manually when the
background is too bright or when there is backlight.
1 Press the EXPOSE Button.
• The compensation value display (E±0)
appears (察).

2 While viewing the LCD screen, press the +
or - Buttons to adjust the value.
• The screen becomes brighter each time the
+ Button is pressed. (up to E+4)
• The screen becomes darker each time the
- Button is pressed. (up to E-4)
• The exposure can be adjusted to nine levels
from E-4←E±0→E+4 in 1/3 EV units.
EV stands for Exposure Value.
• A blue sky may appear whitish when recording
with compensated values.
• The brightness cannot compensate for extreme
amounts of backlight.
• The brightness setting returns to Auto once the
power is turned off.
