Using the Front Panel for Operations
Initializing Settings
The extension units settings can be initialized (factory default
settings).
Important:
•
If you initialize the extension unit's settings, the disk
configuration settings are canceled and the data on the HDDs
cannot be read. Only do initialization if the data on the HDDs
is not necessary and can be deleted.
•
Contact your dealer before initializing.

While holding down the [SET] button on the front panel,
turn on the [POWER] switch. Press the [SET] button until
[INIT. SETUP] is displayed on the screen.

Select [YES] with the arrow buttons (left or right) and
then press the [SET] button.

Initializing starts.

The following screen appears after initializing is
complete.
If initialization fails, [FAILURE] is displayed. Do the
procedure again from step 1.

Turn the power on again, and link the units according to
Installing HDDs by unit (page 24).
