3.1 Cable modem (TV-style cable)

Choose Cable Modem if you're ISP will automatically give you an IP address. Some
ISP's may also require that you fill in additional information such as MAC address
(see screen below).
Parameter
Some ISP's may also require you to use a particular Hostname,
Host Name
Domain name, or MAC (physical) address. If required, please
Domain Name
enter Hostname, Domain name provided by your ISP.
Clone MAC
Use "Clone MAC address" button to copy the MAC (physical)
Address
address from your PC to the XRT-501.
Your ISP may require a particular MAC address in order for
you to connect to the Internet. This MAC address is the PC's
MAC
MAC address that your ISP had originally connected your
(physical)
Internet connection to. Type in this MAC address in this section
Address
or use the Clone MAC Address button to replace the WAN MAC
address with the MAC address of that PC (you have to be using
that PC for the Clone MAC Address button to work).
The MAC address section is optional and you can skip this section if
your ISP does not require these settings for you to connect to the
Internet.
