Formats – the measured data that is downloaded from
the instrument can come in a variety of formats. There
are standard Leica formats and also user configurable
formats for a variety of applications.
The data format is selected when downloading, using
Data Exchange Manager – see additional guide.
The standard Leica format is GSI. This can be selected
on download and the resulting GSI file opened in
Coordinate Editor in LGO for example.
By using a format file, the format can be changed to
suit. Formats can be tailored to almost any format,
from a comma-separated file (CSV) to a DXF output
file.
Formats can be created, opened and edited using
Format Manager in LGO.
The format file has the extension .frt. Up to 4 formats
can be transferred to the Formats folder on the
instrument.
