Treadmill Controls To start the treadmill: Press START to power up treadmill. All displays light and the treadbelt begins to move at 0.5 mph (0.8 km/hr in metric mode).

A heart rate monitor reminds you of the safe and effective heart rate intensity at which you should exercise and warns you if your workouts go too far.

    Control Panel Operation 2.3. Using the Treadmill: Manual Mode Manual mode is a user-defined workout program without any program parameters. You control the speed and incline using the SPEED (+/–) and INCLINE (+/–) keys on the console. To switch to manual mode from a built-in program, press MANUAL MODE to exit the program and return to manual mode.
