Using * as an Actual * Character
If you wish to program an * as an actual * character, you
must place a # before the *
For example, you may wish to program the Feature Access
Code *7O into <REP DIAL>:
Programmed characters: #*70.
Meaning: *70.
Using # as an Actual # Character
If you wish to use a # as an actual # character, you must
place two #'s in the stored number.
For example, you may wish to store a Call Accountability
Feature Access Code, ## PDC, on <REP DIAL>:
Programmed characters: ####2753.
Meaning: ##2753.
Using # with System Speed Dialing Codes
When you wish to have a System Speed Dialing Code as
part of your stored number, you should use a single # for
the code.
For example, you may wish to program the System Speed
Dialing Code #100 into <REP DIAL>:
Programmed characters: #100.
Meaning: System Speed Dialing Code #100.
Using #3 to Start End-to-End Signaling
When you place a #3 within a stored number, you tell the
system to start end-to-end signaling.
