Activating the tags

To activate a Lifeline tag:
1. Select and open the Lifeline data box.
2. Place the tag that to be registered on the Lifeline receiver. The corresponding
tag number will be highlighted in the on-screen data box by a yellow border.
3. Click Activate Tag.
The data box will now show that the tag has been activated and display the
time that the activation will expire. The tag should be re-activated using
steps 1 through 3 before the expiry time.
When a crew member is leaving the boat for a legitimate reason, their Lifeline tag
should be de-activated to prevent a false alarm situation.
To de-activate a Lifeline tag:
1. Select and open the Lifeline data box.
2. Place the tag to be de-activated on the Lifeline receiver. The corresponding
tag number will be highlighted in the on-screen data box by a yellow border.
3. Click Deactivate Tag. The data box will now show that the tag is not
registered.
It is now safe for the crew member to leave the boat without causing a false
alarm.
