The AMC2-8IOE is identical in all respects to the AMC2-16IOE
except in the number of inputs and outputs. Information in this
manual refers to all three extensions described here, unless
explicitly stated otherwise.

Extension AMC2-16IE

Another variant of the extension modul AMC2-16IOE is the
AMC2-16IE which offers connectors for input signals only.
The inputs are located at the same positions as on the
AMC2-16IOE. The output connections in the AMC2-16IE are not
usable. Within a system configuration the AMC2-16IE is treated
as a normal extension module:
It can be connected at any AMC2. Up to three extensions (for
BIS three, for Access PE only one) can be connected to an
AMC2. Extension variants can be used in any combination.
