Operating Instructions for
the Pay Tone Card (KX-TA30889)
In this manual, the suffix of each model number is omitted.
The Pay Tone Card supports the following.
It detects the Pay Tone from the Central Office.
When a display proprietary telephone (KX-T7330, KX-T7030, KX-T7130 or KX-T7033)
user makes a call on an outside (CO) line assigned to detect the Pay Tone, they can see the
charge and duration of the call.
The manager (extension jack 01) can confirm, print and clear the charge and parameter of
each extension, each outside (CO) line and/or each account code. The manager can also
assign a charge limitation to prevent an extension user from making other outside calls, and
print out the call logs for each extension.
All 6 outside (CO) lines can be supported by installing 2 Pay Tone Cards. One Pay Tone
Card supports 3 outside (CO) lines.

    Pay Tone Card Installation 1. Power off the system, and unplug the AC cord. 2. Loosen the screw. 3. Remove the top front cover. Top front cover Screw 4. Remove the 2 screws. Screws 5. Open the bottom front cover. Bottom front cover * The illustrations on this page are KX-TA308.

  • Page 6 Pay Tone Card Installation • Be sure the frame of the main unit is connected to the ground ( Installation Manual, 2.5 “Frame Ground Connection”). • If noise is heard during the Pay Tone signal after installing the Pay Tone Card, cut the Jumper Wires J201A through J201C indicated below, if required.

    System Features Charge Fee Reference Allows a display proprietary telephone user to view the charge and duration of an outgoing outside call. The manager (extension jack 01) can confirm, print and clear the charge and parameter of each extension, each outside (CO) line and/or each account code. The manager can also assign the charge rate and decimal place, and charge limitation for each extension 2.1 Telephone Features, “Charge Indication (Manager only)”).
