Approach Checklist Complete (double check gear and flap handles up)

Airspeed: 220km/hr, 120 kts
o
Mixture:
Rich
o
Prop:
2250 RPM
Midfield Downwind
o Gear:
Down and locked (below 250 kmlhr, 135 kts)
Check:
3 Green lights, poles and Main Air PSI
o
Airspeed: 180 kmlhr, 100 kts
Base Leg
o Airspeed: 170 kmlhr, 90 kts
o
Prop:
High RPM
o
Landing Checklist: Accomplish
Final Approach:
o
Airspeed: 160 kmlhr, 85 kts
Short Field Landing
Procedure: Use normal procedures until turning base.
Base Leg
o
Airspeed: 160 kmlhr, 85 kts
o
Prop:
High RPM
o
Landing Checklist: Accomplish
Final Approach:
o
Airspeed: 140 kmlhr, 75 kts
Clear of Obstacles:
o
Smoothly coordinate power and pitch to touchdown with minimum float
After Touchdown
o Lower nose smoothly to runway and apply braking to a stop
Soft Field Landing
Procedure: Use normal procedures until turning base.
Base Leg

Airspeed: 160 kmlhr, 85 kts

High RPM

Landing Checklist: Accomplish
Final Approach:

Airspeed: 140 kmlhr, 75 kts
Touchdown:
o
Touchdown smoothly with power slightly above idle
After Touchdown

Keep nosewheel clear as long as feasible, then lower gently to the runway.

Keep stick full aft throughout the landing roll.
