Safety PReCautionS
• The protective capability of your helmet will diminish over time, dependent
upon many factors such as physical damage, exposure to pollution, harmful
chemicals and long term exposure to the sun. Sena recommends that the helmet
be replaced after five years. Although the shell is in principle capable of a longer
service life, the occurrence of material fatigue and wear to other components,
as well as the overall action of the helmet and the unknown conditions in which
the helmet has been used, make it advisable for your own safety to replace the
helmet after this period of use.
• Do not use product for extreme uses such as downhill racing at high speeds,
jumping or leaping with a fully suspended bicycle, snow sports, water sports,
motor sports, street hockey, playground activities, or other activities where face,
ear, or greater protection or coverage is desired.
• The safety helmet is designed to absorb only one impact and damage from
an impact is rarely visible from the outside. It is therefore essential to replace
the helmet after a fall, accident or other violent impact. Such helmet should be
returned to original place of purchase for inspection, or destroyed and replaced.
In the event of any impact, do not use this helmet.
• Any helmet that has been subjected to a violent impact should be replaced.
• To provide maximum protection, the helmet must fit properly on the head and its
chinstrap securely fastened under the chin.
• Always fasten the chinstrap before setting off and check that the buckle system
and straps are correctly in position.
• Never ride with the buckle unfastened or incorrectly adjusted. The chinstrap must
be correctly positioned and must not come loose when pulled.
• No helmet provides absolute protection from all conceivable impacts. This
helmet has been specially developed for bicycle riding and is unsuitable for other
purposes.
• Examine the helmet for damage at regular intervals. Small scratches will not
impair the protective function of your helmet.
• Check for proper fit and adjustment often, including each time you wear it, and
periodically during use.
• Always make sure the buckle is properly fastened and the loose end of the
chinstrap is tucked through the rubber "O" ring before you ride. Failure to follow
this instruction could result in serious personal injury.
• The helmet safety mechanism described above can also cause small cracks in the
shell when the helmet is dropped from a small height (less than 1 meter).
• Use of the product at a high volume for a long period of time may damage your
eardrums or hearing ability.
• Do not wear anything underneath your helmet, such as a cap, hood, bundled hair,
headphones, or barrettes, as the helmet may loosen or come off. Do not wear
anyone else's helmet and don't loan your helmet to anyone else.
• When relevant, follow all regulations regarding the use of the camera.
(1) Do not use your camera in an aircraft, unless permitted.
(2) Turn off the camera when you are near medical equipment. Your camera can
cause interference with medical devices in hospital or healthcare facilities.
