Home cleaning: device and humidifier

Warning
To avoid electrical shock, always unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning the
device. DO NOT immerse the device in any fluids.
1. Unplug the device, and wipe the outside of the device with a cloth slightly dampened with water and a
mild liquid dishwashing detergent. Use a mixture of 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) dishwashing detergent/1
gallon (3.8 liters) of water. Let the device air dry completely before plugging in the power cord.
2. Inspect the device and all circuit parts for damage after cleaning. Replace any damaged parts.

Home cleaning: tubing

Clean the flexible tubing before first use and once per week. Disconnect the flexible tubing from the device.
For the 15 or 22 mm flexible tubing, gently wash the tubing in a solution of warm water and a mild liquid
dishwashing detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Air dry. Inspect the tubing for damage or wear. Discard and replace
if necessary.

Refer to the DreamStation humidifier manual for the instructions on how to clean the heated tube.

Hospital and institution cleaning: device and humidifier
exterior
Warning
To avoid electrical shock, always unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning the
device. DO NOT immerse the device in any fluids.
If using the device and humidifier on multiple users, the device and humidifier exterior should be cleaned
between patient use and as needed by performing the following steps:
1. Turn the device off and disconnect from the power source before cleaning.
2. Remove the blue pollen filter and light-blue disposable ultra-fine filter (if using).
Warning
If you are using the device on multiple users, discard and replace the bacteria filter each time the
device is used on a different person.
3. Clean the device and humidifier exterior using a mild liquid dishwashing detergent. Use a mixture of 1
teaspoon (5 milliliters) dishwashing detergent/1 gallon (3.8 liters) of water.
4. Allow the device and humidifier to air dry.
