System Integration Precautions

The following precautions are provided as general guidelines for the setup of the Q9 Plus Bypass ASD/
Q9 Plus Bypass Box system.
The TIC Q9 Plus Bypass ASD/Q9 Plus Bypass Box is a general-purpose product. It is a system
component only, and the system design should take this into consideration. Please contact the TIC
Customer Support Center for application-specific information or for training support.
The TIC Q9 Plus Bypass ASD/Q9 Plus Bypass Box is part of a larger system, and the safe
operation of the Q9 Plus Bypass ASD/Q9 Plus Bypass Box will depend on observing certain
precautions and performing proper system integration.
Improperly designed or improperly installed system interlocks may render the motor unable to start
or stop on command.
The failure of external or ancillary components may cause intermittent system operation (i.e., the
system may start the motor without warning).
A detailed system analysis and job safety analysis should be performed by the systems designer
and/or systems integrator before the installation of the Q9 Plus Bypass ASD/Q9 Plus Bypass Box
component. Contact the TIC Customer Support Center for options availability and for application-
specific system integration information if required.
