File Storage Media
1. SD Card: If an SD card is the preferred media to record on, insert an SD card in the
SD card slot on the left side of the recessed panel in the lid.
2. USB Thumb Drive: If a USB thumb drive is the preferred media to record on, insert a
USB thumb drive in the USB slot on the top of the recessed panel in the lid.
3. USB Hard Drive: If a USB hard drive is the preferred media to record on, insert a
USB hard drive in the USB slot on the top of the recessed panel in the lid.

DVR Operation

General DVR Use
1. When navigating through the DVR's menu and to control the DVR, use the monitor
touchscreen.
2. The main menu can always be accessed when watching live video by pressing the
back arrow on the top left of the screen.
3. Once the main menu appears there are 5 options: "View", "Record", "View Record",
"View Photo", and "Settings". Press the option you want on the touchscreen.
Recording and Playback Procedure of Videos and Still Photos
1. To set the proper file storage media from the live video screen:
Press the back arrow on the touchscreen, press the "Settings" box on the main menu
screen, press the "Record Settings" button, press the SD or USB storage button, and
then press the "Exit" button.
2. Insert up to a 32 GB SD card in the SD card slot, or up to a 500 GB USB thumb drive
or hard drive in the USB slot, on the upper faceplate in the recessed area.
3. To record video, do one of the following:
Press the "Record" box on the main menu screen.
OR
If you are already viewing live video, press the red dot in the upper left corner of the
touchscreen.
4. To pause a recording:
Press the pause button in the top second row of buttons on the touchscreen. To
resume recording, press the play button in that same row of buttons.
5. To capture still photos:
Press the snapshot button in the lower right corner of the touchscreen.
Note: Still photos can be captured while recording video.
6. To stop a recording:
Press the stop button in the second row of buttons on the touchscreen.
7. Once this recording is stopped, it will be saved on whatever recording medium you
selected.
8. To playback this recording from the live video screen:
Press the back arrow on the touchscreen, press the "View Record" box on the main
menu screen, press the SD or USB storage button, and then double press the file you
want to view.
