4. Installing the IPDL-C Printer
Before Installing the Printer Driver
To print, you must first install software called a printer driver on your computer.
The required printer driver is supplied on the CD-ROM that comes with your
printer.
Preparation
Set up the printer and connect it to your computer as described in the "Quick
Installation Guide". The procedures in this section assume that the printer is
connected to your printer by a parallel interface cable.
Important
Some applications require their own specific settings, which may be different
from those provided by the printer driver. Be sure to check the documenta-
tion that comes with your applications for details.
Considerable hard disk space is required on your computer for printing com-
plex documents.

All of the procedures in this manual assume that you are familiar with gener-
al Windows procedures and practices. If you are not, see the documentation
that comes with Windows for details.
