* The gathering foot is an optional accessory not supplied with this machine.
Set the pattern selector as shown.
Dial selector on "
1. Attach the gathering foot.
2. Sew a single row or multiple rows of straight stitches.
3. If more gathering is required, loosen the upper thread tension to below
2 so that the lower thread lies on the under side of the material.
4. Pull the lower thread to gather more of the material.
Note:
The presser foot shown is the optional gathering foot, which does not
come with your machine. If you have not purchased this foot,
substitute the all purpose foot and gather fabric by hand. Lower the
tension setting to below 2 and pull the lower thread to gather the
material.
