Place the frame lock between the frame extensions and the window sill as shown (Fig. 7). Drive 3/4” (19 mm) or 1/2” (12.7 mm) locking screws through the frame lock and into the sill.

Install R1 Hardware (only by applicable to Energy Star models) In order to minimize air leaks and ensure optimal insulation, it is necessary to install the included R1 hardware to the side curtain. The fan then cycles on for 2 minutes at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on and cooling resumes.
