INPUTS AND OUTPUTS:
Located on the output panel on tIle under left-hand side of the
instrument are stereo 1/4 inch phone jacks for input of other
instruments and line outputs for other amplification. The inputs
have a level adjustment knob located on the panel next to the input
ports.
GLOBAL TUNING:
Located on the output panel on the under left-hand side of the
instrument is a Global tuning knob. The harpsichord, when fust
turned on, is automatically set at A-440.
If
hand adjustment is required
this tuning function will be activated when moved. In the section on
tuning features it was pointed out that the instrument can be set for
other tuning standards. The Global tuniIlg knob will fme tune these
settings when it is moved.
GENERAL MIDI:
The harpsichord supports the "GM" specifications. \Vhen connected to a
sequencer and MUSIC DATA is played, the unit becomes a general MIDI
player. Both the keyboards play MIDI channel # 1. . The upper manual plays at
the 4' pitch and the lower manual plays at tIle standard 8' pitch. For most
MUSIC DATA and
lor
"ism" MIDI, channel #1 is the piano.
TO SET THE HARPSICHORD IN "GM" MODE:
HOLD THE MIDI BUTTON AND PRESS THE
TRANSPOSER BUTTON. All voice buttOl1S will become
inactive. To reverse tllis condition hold tI,e MIDI button
and press
tI,e
TRANSPOSER button.
