Rescanning for Base Stations

When the HES-319 ODU is powered up, it scans for base stations and registers with the base station that
provides the highest quality signal. If you move or redirect the ODU, the CPE remains registered with the
original base station.
Before beginning alignment, you must force the CPE to rescan for base stations to ensure that the CPE is
registered with the best base station at its current location and direction.
You can force a rescan by:

Powering down the ODU

Rebooting the CPE through the Web Management Interface (WMI).
To force a rescan through the WMI, refer to the Alignment and Acceptance procedure, later in this chapter

You must force the CPE to rescan for base stations anytime the CPE has been
powered up and then moved to another location, or pointed in another direction at
the same location.
