b. Feed the cable through the sealing gland nut and then the base.
c. Plug the cable into the ODU RJ-45 port.
d. Reinstall the sealing gland base on the ODU. Do not over–tighten.
e. Fit the rubber bushing around the cable, between the sealing gland nut and the sealing gland base.
The bushing is split to its centre along its length to allow this.
When using Cat5e cable with integrated ground wire, separate enough of the ground wire from the
cable so that the rubber bushing goes over the cable only, and only the cable enters the sealing gland
assembly.
f. Push the rubber bushing along the cable until it is firmly seated in the sealing gland base.
g. Install the sealing gland nut. Hand-tighten firmly: you are sealing the unit.
14. Continue to Part 2 of this procedure which covers installation of the ground wires at the ODU.
