Appendix 2 Problems and Solutions

Possible reason
Input power supply is not
connected; Input voltage low;
Input switch of UPS is not
switched ON.
The input breakers of UPS
are not ON; input cable not
well connected
Output cable not well

Utility voltage exceeds UPS
input range.
Battery breaker not switched
ON, batteries are damaged,
reversely connected. Battery
number and capacity are not
set correctly.
Overload
The UPS output is in short
circuit
UPS is set to ECO mode, or
the transfer times to bypass
mode are limited.
Battery switch is not properly
closed. Battery fuse is blown
open. Battery reserve is low.
Wrong battery quantity set;
Power breaker in the rear

UPS is out of order
Measure UPS input voltage /
frequency is within the window.
Check UPS input is switched ON.
Switch ON the input breaker;
Make sure the input cable is well
connected.

remaining backup time needed.

batteries are damaged, replace all
batteries and correct cable
polarity; Set the correct battery

Remove some or all of the load
Make sure the load is not in short
circuit, and then restart the UPS.
Set UPS to working mode
(non-parallel), reset the transfer
times for bypass, re-start the UPS
Close the battery switch. Change
fuse. Recharge battery. Power ON
the UPS with AC and set battery
quantity. Switch ON power
breaker.
