7. TROUBLESHOOTING

GENERAL
Problem
Unit cannot power on.
No/low audio output.
Poor sound quality or
distortion.
Unit resets itself when
engine is off.
Auto seek function can
not find any stations.
USB
Problem
USB device cannot be
inserted.
USB device is not
recognized.
No sound heard with
the display "No File"
shown.
Sound skips or is
noisy.
Bluetooth
Problem
Cannot pair the
Bluetooth enabled
device with the audio
system.
Audio quality is poor
after connection with
a Bluetooth enabled
device.

Cause
Unit fuse blown.
Vessel battery fuse blown.
Incorrect audio output connection. Check wiring and correct.
Volume set too low.
Speakers damaged.
Heavily biased volume balance.
Speaker wiring is in contact with
metal part of vessel.
Speaker power rating does not
match unit.
Wrong connections.
Speaker is shorted.
