Using Your DSS
If your system came with, or you have added, an RCA Digital Satellite System, you can
press the DSS•CABLE on the remote and the DSS
will turn on and the TV will tune to channel 90 (S-Video Input).
For more detailed instructions see the satellite receiver userÕs manual.
To Watch a Program
1. Press DSS•CABLE on the remote to turn on the satellite receiver, audio/video receiver,
TV, and tune the TV to channel 90 (S-Video Input). This also sets the remote to control the
satellite receiver.
2. Press CHANNEL up or down to select channels, or press number buttons to directly access
a channel. To find a channel using the on-screen channel guide, see the next page.
Point and Select Menu System
The receiver has interactive menus and operating guides that use the ÒPoint and
SelectÓ method.
1. Press DSS•CABLE on the remote to turn on the satellite receiver, audio/video
receiver, TV, and tune the TV to channel 90. This also sets the remote to control the
satellite receiver.
2. Press MENU/PROGRAM to display the DSS Main Menu.
3. ÒPointÓ to the item you want to select using the arrow buttons at the bottom of the remote.
4. ÒSelectÓ the item using the DISPLAY button on the remote.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: You can also select a menu item by pressing the corresponding number on the remote.
Press CLEAR on the remote to remove a menu from the screen.
Note: Whenever the on-screen display says to press the SELECT button, you must press the
DISPLAY button on the system remote.
