    Safety Precautions WARNING. Never stop the machine before the end of the drying cycle unless all items are quickly removed and spread out so that the heat is dissipated. Adequate ventilation has to be provided to avoid the back flow of gases into the room for appliances burning other fuels, including open fires.
  • Page 6 Safety Precautions Gas heated tumble dryer: Before installation, check that the local distribution conditions, nature of gas and pressure and the adjustment of the appliance are compatible. The machine is not to be installed in rooms containing cleaning machines with perchloroethylene, TRICHLOROETHYLENE or CHLOROFLUOROCONTAINING HYDROCARBONS as cleaning agents.

    Setup Setup Unpacking Place the dryer in its place before unpacking it. 10 mm 10 mm 500 mm When unpacking the dryer, handle it with care. Positioning Place the dryer in such a way that work can be done as easily as possible by the user and the service technician alike.
  • Page 14 Setup Removal from transportation pallet 1. Demount back plates and filter door. 2. Knock the two wood boards loose, one in front and one in the back, with a hammer. 3. Demount the 4 screws holding the bars. 4. Lift the dryer with pallet truck or fork-lift truck and remove the bars.

Flexible piping connection, gas heated dryers Due to the tilting function gas pipe A must end 30 cm before the dryer and the last piece of it must be flexible eg. an approved 60 cm gas hose. Flexible piping connection, steam heated dryers Due to the tilting function the steam hoses must have an excessive length of 30 cm.

    Installation Installation Mechanical installation Adjust the dryer to ensure that it is horizontal and stands firmly on all four feet (the height adjustment must be as low as possible). The maximum height adjustment of the feet is 70 mm and is only to be used cautiously while removing lifting truck or fork truck.

    Installation Exhaust system Air principle The blower creates low pressure in the dryer, drawing air into the cylinder via the heating unit. The heated air passes through the garments and the cylinder vents. The air then flows out through a lint filter positio- ned immediately below the drum.

    Installation Exhaust duct It applies to the exhaust duct that: • The exhaust duct must be smooth on the inside (low air resistance). • The exhaust duct must lead into the open. • The exhaust duct must lead clear of the building as condensation may cause frost damage to the building.

    Installation Steam installation Before start The steam supply must be cut off and must not be under pressure. Steam Steam 3-10 bar absolute pressure (130 - 180°C). Steam forward 1. The branch pipe’s branch must be located at the top of the main steam pipe to prevent condensation in the steam.

    Installation Gas installation Fasten the label Before installing the machine fasten the label “Read the user instructions” on the inside of the door in a suitable place and at the front panel. The label must have the correct country code, choose the correct label from the gas kit.
  • Page 26 Installation General May only be carried out by qualified personnel. Mount a shut-off valve upstream from the machine. The factory nozzle pressure setting corresponds to the fuel value given on the data label. Check that the nozzle pressure and fuel value correspond with the values in the gas tables on the following pages.

    Installation Conversion instructions 1. Disconnect the power to the dryer. 2. Remove the back plate. 3. Remove nozzle, see Fig. 3. 4. Mount the enclosed nozzles (1), see Fig. 3. 5. T41200 ONLY: When converting to LPG, remove the existing air reduction baffle plates and install the supplied plates in accordance with table in fig.
  • Page 32 Installation Converting from Natural Gas to Propane Gas Disconnect the power to the machine. Demount the upper rear panel. Disconnect the cables from the plastic cover and connect to the pressure switch.
  • Page 33 Installation Data label When the machine is to be converted to another gas type, the data label at the rear of the machine must be updated in order for the data to be cor- rect. Place the data label enclosed in the conversion kit on top of the data label as shown below.
